Default Intake question

Im looking at intakes and in every engine pic the strut tower brace is not on, does every intake require it to be permanent removed? And also can you suggest me some good intakes. I dont realy like chrome but they all seem to be chrome.

K&N is always a good choice. Plus it comes in a black, rhino lined type look. Can't go wrong with it. As for the strut-tower removal, you'll just have to check out their website.

Are we talking about intakes or Cold Air Induction?
