Well i just got an SCT Xcal2 from Texas Hot Rods. I love it. The 2-step is a good idea. The only problem im having is that on the "mild" tune, under alot of throttle theres a clattering sound coming from around the top of the intake manifold. Cant really decide what its coming from. Its just a weird noise, that doesnt sound to good. If you tune it back to stock, the noise goes away. Im just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and knew what it could be. Ifyour at low RPM its kina loud, but at WOT, say 4th gear, it only does it ever second or so.Doesnt seem to hurt the performance.

Also Thanks Texas Hod Rods, im impressed with the Tunes, and i havent even used the 93 race tune yet

 

Sounds like detonation, I'm sure a MILD tune still requires a premium fuel because of advanced timing

 

yep, Sounds like the timing is advanced, requiring higher octane fuel.

 

I use 93 Octance. Always have. And the tune is 91 octance. I got them to tune it as 91 instead of 93 incase of bad gas, they just left me a a 93 octance as well.

 

Load the 93 tune and see if the noise goes away.....

 

Yeah, i havent tryed that yet. I figured if it did that on the mild tune then the race tune would be worse. It isnt so bad on the Daily tune. Ill adjust it tomarrow morning probley and try it. Cant I adjust the timing and stuff on the programmer? Maybe turn it down at little if its detonation?
