Not sure if the 1996 ecu will work with the new motor. Might need to do some serious research.

I have done this sawp before. ok you will use your wireing and ecm use your coil packs and wires. Use your altanator and you will not be able to use the low oil level sensor there is not one in the oil pan of the new motor you may be able to use your pan on the new motor I dont know we did not try. The car will run on the 96 tune but I would have a tune done

what would I need to get the new harness working? Mine looks like crap and it would be nice to use the new one.

the one listed is a brand new engine though. check out mpsautosalvage.com they can let you know what you will need/what will work. they also have used engines too.
