They will change the sound a bit, and add slightly better flow.

You will be lucky to see 5-7 rwhp. That is why most people say "Go LT's or Go Home." The difference is enourmous. 15+ rwhp from LTs alone verses 5-7 rwhp from shorties....

Not sure what you are talking about with suspension. I am lowered 1.5' all around with LT's and the only issue I have are speed bumps which I never encounter anyway. Even if you were lowered 2' which is the most people go on the street, you would still be fine for driving. I had speed bumps at my high school which I avoided, other than shcools, you will probably never encounter one.

Well how low is your car? Whoever told you they would drag probably didn't have first hand experience. Should have talked to some of us first![8D]

If you are going for added sound, the shorties will help.... as far as sheer power, I hate to be a bummer, but you kind of wasted the money. $300+ for only 7 rwhp, especially when you can get 15 rwhp from LT's. That's a big difference. And as you know, with HP, we need ALL the help we can get on these cars lol.

yah. well i mean im not trying to street race her. but i guess all the power i can get is best. honestly the first inclination for getting them was for sound. i got ford racing shorties and a o/r x. both for sound. its quick with the mods done with gears and short shifter cai, udp and what not. i plan on doing some more but not yet. i guess i could have done LT but too late now haha seeing as how its all going on tmrw

overall im missing out on what 7-8 hp i know i need all that i can get but if i was going for sound i think ill be happy. let me know

Yea as far as the sound, the o/r X will really wake her up, you will be pleasantly surprised! And the shorties will add some tone to the overall exhaust.

Good luck with everything!

(Getting a full exhaust put on the Vette Tuesday, so I share your anxiousness )

My buddy has shortys, o/r prochamber and mac catback. I have longtubes, o/r prochamber, and mac catback. When we drive together you cant enen hear his car He said he can't hear his own exhaust over mine.

Trade them in and get Longtubes. I am lowered about 2.5 in in the front and have no problem with mine scrapping.
