Default Bullit intake

Hey guys ive herd a rumor that putting a bullit intake on a 1996-98 mustang Gt will increase horsepower and wont crack like the GT's do is that true? and has anyone done it?

yes its true, altough gt intakes don't have a cracking problem.

really though, waste of money. PI swap is where you should be looking

waste on a non-pi car, you don't have the high rpm capabilities to take advantage of a bullit intake - not without heads and cams work

The '96-'98 GTs have a major intake cracking problem. They have a plastic water crossover which is highly prone to cracking and spilling antifreeze all over the engine, which is why Ford redesigned it with the aluminum crossover.

The Bullitt intake on a N/A car is a waste of money. You can do a complete PI head swap with intake for the same amount of money and see huge gains.

No point in bullitt intake swap if you arent PI, but if you are, it makes a perfect excuse to get some nitrous runnin

How much does a bullit intake cost? Would you expect any changes to either the peak numbers or the dyno curve with one??

I am also afraid to run nitrous on the plastic intake.

what kind of prices are you seing on a PI swap does anyone have a kit type deal? If you could give me some ideas that would be great.

Hey powerheads performance has 2 great deals on the pi headswaps. These kits are complete and are a good price, check out there website www.powerheads.com, i am getting there stage 2 kit.
