RE: best mufflers and springs
Well it all depends on what you are looking for out of either.
There are three componets to exhaust. The exhaust manifolds which are usually upgraded to headers; the midpipe, which holds the cats; then the third is the catback which is the piping behing the midpipe and holds the mufflers. Mufflers differ in many ways. For instance... the Magnaflows sound great on either an X pipe or an H pipe. But if you put a Flowmaster setup on an X pipe then you are asking for the worst sound (IMO) ever. LOL Any type of non baffeled muffler such as Magnoflow or Dynomax sounds great on an X. Flowmasters sound a LOT better on an H pipe. I suggest you go to www.mustangexhaust.com and look for the setup you like the best. The best way to get sound is to get rid of the stock catted H pipe and get an aftermarket off road X or H pipe with a set of mufflers and to make it even better... get a set of headers.
Springs: Again... all depends on what you are looking for. If you attend your local dragstrip and are looking for the best times then I would say go with the Eibach Drag spring kit. This kit wont lower you much more than a half of an inch but you will come out of the hole like a screaming demon. If you are looking to tighten up the suspension for something such as road racing and/or you want it lowered for looks then I would go with a 1.5 progressive rate lowering springs. I have the H&R P Rated 1.5 and it rides almost like stock. You will lose a good bit of traction but most of it can be made up by buying control arms and good stickey tires such as BFG drags or Nitto drags. Im making 1.8 60' times on my setup.

im gonna say go with the eibach sportlines if youre into the road race game. i have eibach sprotline springs, eibach anti roll kit and eibach shocks and struts... im gonna have the say that the drop from those springs looks REALLY GOOD, and it makes a major handling improvment.... eibach sportlines... thats the way to go in my book
