I just don't change the filter.

Ha ha. J/K... I just clean up the rack with some break clean and a blow gun.

all i do is take the box that the oil filter comes in rip it in half and use it as a v to direct the oil. you already bought the box with the oil filter so whats the point in throwing it away. just use it get it messy than throw it away.

On my GT I would putthe driver side of the car a click or two higher than the left on the jackstand. I would loosen the oil filter & let it drip for a moment or two. No mess.

Foil works good .. I put some foil under the oil pan and kind ofbendup the edges so itdoesntspill to the sides.

Ummm... Its not a big deal and its not gonna hurt it as long as it doesn't cake on there. You can either just wipe it off or put the box down like they were saying. I generally just wipe it of and the rack looks cleaner afterwards because of any built up road grime or whatever.
