Default Gas Pedal Winning Battle

I'm trying to put my Mach 1 pedals on. No big deal, right? [:'(]

I used a dremel to cut the pin from the driver's pedal. I cut the end and the head off, it still wouldn't budge. I cut through the middle, still wouldn't budge. I grinded it down on both ends, still nothing. So I have spent the past 30 minutes trying to drill it out, and the pin seems to be no match for the drill bit, as I have only made a dent in it.

So, the next plan is to take the whole assembly off. How do I unhook the throttle cable?

Ok...I got it. I unattached everything but the throttle cable, and used pliers to bend the side of the assembly back and forth until what was left of the pin popped out. Turns out I had it cut almost flush on both sides, and I think on one side the drill acted like a welder and welded part of it in.

What a PITA. I spent 3 hours just on the gas pedal. The next Mustang I buy better already have these installed, cause I aint doing it again

EDIT: Yeah, sitnlo, it was a post of yours from a while back that made me leave the throttle cable attached. I didn't have anything good to brace the assembly on, so I couldn't get any good strikes with a hammer on it.

And for what it is worth, the brake pedal, which everyone says is the hardest, took all of 20 seconds
