Always about horsepower and weight with you guys huh? Couldn't have anything to do with the gearing and the way the trans shifts? They're set up for nice soft cushy shifts. That takes days off the 1/4 time.

I think I'd cry or sell my GT if I got beat by a stock Maxima. Or maybe I'd just buy more mods and practice my shifting / launches.

He makes a good point.

But with a stock maxima you should be out front. My first time to the track after I got my 2000 GT with a sh*ty launch I still managed a 14.3 out of her. Go for it.

it has nothing to do with cushy shifts it's documented it runs the 1/4 slower... now that usually means it's.... slower? [sm=smiley24.gif]

he is right dont look back. look straight ahead @ the road and maybe @ ur rpms every once in a while. if he's not infront of u thats all u need to know. just a quick tip. u'll be surprised how many drivers that race look over to their sides and in the rear mirors. If a Stock 99+ GT can beat or equal the 350Z, which happens to be Nissans flag ship performance car....Why would anyone driving a GT have to worry about the heavier and weaker maxima...Something doesn't sound right to me.
