cluster lights all Fu*ked up
When I bought my car the previous owner hada Simco cluster put on the car. The problem that I have is whenever I drive my stang the cluster light will just arbitrarily shut off. Is it the wiring on the cluster, or could it be a faulty cluster in general??

it sounds like you might have a loose connection... maybe a bad ground. chances are he wired it into the headlight switch. id remove the dash to check. not too big of a problem unless its a short in the gauge itself

Drive the car and bang on top of the dash and see if you can make it turn off.
Also shake the headlight switch (gently!!).
Does turning the dimmer (headlight switch) make it turn on and off?
If so the rheostat part of the headlight switch, the part that makes the lights dim, might be going bad.
Find the wire that goes to the dimmer switch and tighten the connection.
While you are at it, tighten everything down while you are in there.
I agree with 2002GTAUTOVERT though.
Sounds like a loose connection.
