'04 GT Warranty
So I just bought my 04' GT and got it from a used cardealership... They told me at the dealership that I had 100,000km's/5 year warranty on the powertrain but didn't mention anything about anextended warranty of any kind. Was that warranty standard on the 04's in Canada?I have a signed agreement in which he states the aforementioned warranty so either way I think I'm covered, but I'm curious.

RE: '04 GT Warranty
Since you already bought the car the point is now moot, but unless you have a copy of the warranty I wouldn't expect much from the Ford dealers.
The standard warranty period is for three years or 36,000 miles and that has almost timed out depending on which month the car was originallytitled.
Lots of people come here after the fact so don't feel bad and welcome to our small but learned group.

It might cost a few bucks but could be worth it.
The warranty isn't void if he bought the car used (it can be transferred....there is a transfer card in your owners manual)but if the car has mods then it might be.

Check with your service manager and ask for something in writing. If its a Ford warranty, it should show up in any dealer's service dept. computer. I negotiated a 5 year/75,000 mile Ford certified used warranty when I bought my '04, so I have another 3 years of powertrain warranty once my 3/36 runs out early next year.

RE: '04 GT Warranty
Yeah, the reason I asked in the first place is because my air intake manifold took a **** the other day... Anyways, I took it to Ford and they informed me I had 2 more years and 100,000km (total) powertrain warranty left. They also informed me that they can't order the stock manifold anymore and will have to replace mine with a ford performance setup... So all-around I'm quite happy with Ford so far.
The car is supposedly going to be finished Monday so I'll check back and let you guys know how everything went. Thanks forall the replies too
