Default head problem- opinions on solution

hey guys. i wrote in a week ago with maybe a water got sucked in problem. well today after 2 backfires i found out i blew a plug out, head threads are stripped. pay to get fixed OR go the patriot heads and cams route? i plan on FI later down the road. would have preferred the KB but with these mods a Vortech doesnt sound bad. im not rich so money is an issue but ill spend it on the head/cam combo if itll be worth it.
i just read an article in 5.0 magazine this month, basically built up a non-pi mustang and dynoed it at 398 hp before the vortech. what do you guys think?
