Default OVERHEATING!!! HELP PLZ!!!!

Ok so ever since i added my new blower pulley fmic and powerpipe my car has been outta wack. I got it retuned, but the belt slipped and it didnt make good numbers. Now i have another prob. My car is overheating and shooting water out of the top of the radiator cap. Now i assumed this was due to the belt slipping and not turning the water pump, but now its doin it again and i dont have belt slip(that i know of) so I thought maybe the thermostat was stuck shut, but that wasnt it either because to see if it was or not i pulled the thermostat out and ran the car without one and sure enough it started shootin water again! Does anyone know what could be causing this? Bad Water Pump? Plugged radiator? Belt slip still? I need help bad because im goin about two hours out of town and have no other way to get where im goin if i dont get this fixed. All help is appreciated. O and sorry for the long Post!

How long does it take to overheat? If it's fairly quickly, you may be looking at a cracked block or a bad head gasket.

Unless the w/p is leaking, it's not bad. Those things really never go bad, they leak. But they never lose the ability to move coolant.

Are your hoses in good shape....not collapsing or anything?

it could be a bad cap but in the down side it could be a blown headgasket even though there may be no smoke or mixed oil and antifreeze there may be a blown headgasket it might be on the back side of a port where its leaking out the back when it gets hot and will not get into the motor it happened to me i ripped apart the motor and sure enough the gasket blew on the antifreeze port and it was sucking air in therewhich forced all the antifeeze through the cap and overflow and it was trying to keep cool on air

I feel like I'm talking to myself listening to you. I just went through all the same motions as you are. my car is in the shop right now. of course when I put my car on the dyno I had a small air/fuel ratio problem that should have tipped it off to me in the first place. first of all every time you over heat and throw water through your cap it's bad and you need a new one. secondly if you got a procharger you may have cracked the resevoir whenconnectingthe pipe support to it. my mechanic noticed that first and replaced mine. turns out that did nothing but point out the leak in my passenger side head gasket. theres my air/fuel ratio problem. I talked to a friend that works at ford he told me mustangs usually don't break head gaskets but in my case and hopefully not yours after catastrophic overheating aluminum heads can warp causing a leak. a good way to tell if that happened is if you pop the hood after it over heats real bad and you hear sizzling under one or bothof the valve covers. hope this helped you out some.

Did you ever think about it being your tranny? My car was over heating when driving it in the 100 degree weather here lately. I went to Auto Zone and bought the biggesttranny cooler they had and my car runs way cool now. With a supercharger your tranny gets a lot of work, especially if you have gears.
