Its most likely that it was an accident by the guy(s) working on your car. Just happened to me about a month ago, got my new top and carpet installed and they disconnected the wiring harness for my overdirve. They swore they didn't touch it. Had to dig through the center console and rip sh*t out to find it. I'm willing to bet the same type of thing happened to you. Get them to fix it or tell them you will get it fixed at their cost! Don't take no Sh*t!
