I would imagine that if you disconnect a vacuum line the car would run rough like it has cams. However, it's connectedfor a reason and disconnecting it would more than likely damage the car in some way form or fashion.

Uh...why?

The vaccum line to the back of my Plenum came off a couple times...and my car ran like ****. Your idle will jump all over the place, peg at high rpms then drop like a rock and nearly stall. Don't do it.

if you unplug any vacuum lines it will cuase the car to run lean and trip the eng light. its not a good idea even if other clowns have done it. just my opinion. plus that line that line you have marked to be disconnected supplys vacuum to the fuel rail pressure sensor, and egr regulator.

Do not listen to this people, letting your car idle like this will not hurt the car in anyway. Yes you dont want to drive it like this, but idle it will not hurt, you can even rev it if you want to. Your CEL will not come on from letting it idle like this, and if it does plug the hose back in and reset it via unplugging battery. this isnt a big deal dont make it out to be one.

I said this thinking that he was gonna leave it off. not knowing he was going to just unplug it to hear what it sounds like.
