Small crack in water pump pulley

Small crack in water pump pulley
There is a small crack about 3/4-1 inch long in the center of the water pump pulley in the middle of all the bolts. Is this something that I need to have fixed NOW (really need to be saving money) or is it something I can take care of 4000 miles down the road?
Reason I ask this is I am moving about 2900 miles in a month and a half and have calculated all my bills and there really isn't any room for extra things to happen. But at the same time it'd suck to be 1800 into the trip in the middle of nowhere and be stuck.

Are you crazy?! Of course get it fixed! The pulley is cheap and I'm sure someone has one laying around after a pulley swap. The pulley is a lot cheaper than overheating an engine and replacing it. Go to a junk yard, I'm sure you can find one that works.

Don't pay someone. All you need is a 1/2 inch ratchet and a 13mm socket. It takes 10 minutes. Loosen the 4 bolts holding the pulley on with the 13mm. Take your serp belt off with the 1/2 ratchet and take the pulley right off. It's that easy. If you're near me, I'd do it for you.

Just a heads up on this, look closely at it and check that the crack is in the pulley itself OR the small plastic center cap that covers the water pump nub. The way you describe it I think its in the cap and not a big worry because a lot of the plastic caps crack from the heat, good luck.
