i know what you mean about the plugs, getting dirt down in there. when i change my plugs out, i pull the coils off and use my air compressor to blow all the dirt out of there before i start taking the plugs off. i'm thinking about getting some rubber and cutting it so that it slips around the rubber tubing on the coil, and cutting the outside so that it has a snug fit inside the spark plug hole... to keep dirt from getting in there in the first place (some cars come with this sort of thing from the factory but i guess it didn't come across the Ford engineers' minds). another place dirt likes to collect is around the valve cover bolts, so if you ever take off your valve covers be sure to blow that dirt away too, otherwise you'll end up with dirt all inside your cylinder head, which is worse than getting it inside the combustion chamber (at least the combustion process pushes the dirt out through your exhaust.. if it gets in your oil, it can really mess things up).
