Long tube header install pls help
I am installing LT's intoa 2002 mustang gt, what is the best way to do it? The motor is out of the car now(took out from top). Is it easier to leave the headers on and snake them in or leave the headers in place and bring the motor down to them? Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Mike

+1 take the steering shaft out, and drop the motor with the headers on in the bay, then leave room to put the k member back in then slide the steering shaft in through the headers and bolt it back in......i just did this 2 weekends ago..if ya need help just pm me.

Is it posible to do it without dropping the k frame?

Put them on and find out. It's going to take some tilting and angling, hopefully you have an adjuster for use on the end of the cherry picker.

RE: Long tube header install pls help
no it isn't... because you need the extra room to get the headers past the k member. so you drop the k member, wiggle the motor in, then while the engine is hoisted into a good postion you reattach the k member. Your choices are: You either drop the k member and have the headers on or leave the headers off and leave the k member in.
