Default Longtube midpipe fitment issue

Well im almost done installing my LT's they install has gone very smooth until now. The midpipe is is abouta 1/4 or less from being righ ton the collector on both sides. I assure you the the headers are on properly and tight ive tested them w/out midpipe and there are no leaks. What could this be? Has anyone had this problem? Also the o2 extenders are BBK's 86-04's and the notches in the side dont mate up with mine on my car

I would pull the catback forward towards the collectors. If that doesnt do it try putting the bolts in and run them down and see if it starts to bring em closer together.

As far the O2 extenders you need to file down the right notch to make it slide into the cars connector. Look at it carfully and it will only go in one way and then remove the extra notch. But only remove enough to make it fit nice and tight.

Ive got the bolts in the flanges by the catback and im trying to move it around so it will fit onto the headers i was tired so i gave up today i worked on it for 6 hours two days in a row. But its only a 1/4 inch on both sides my dad thinks we can probably bend it a bit and make it fit.

About the extenders thats what i thought i would have to do. Ive gotta work the next two days but ill have it done monday at the latest.

any other advice would be appriciated

my mid pipe fit like crap you, you just gotta mess with it, pry bars help, and as for the o2 extentions you have to snip off the nubs on the connector so they fit, once you do that they will snap right together

A bastard file works great for removing the excess material.
