89 would prolly be fine for 13*, if it pings then through in some octane booster or something or just wait till you fill with premium then set it to 14*.

Does the timing adjuster set at 14 give the car more "getup" from the line...how does it actually work? If this is the case, how come you set a blown setup at like 8 or 9 degres.

In FI applications you have to retard the timing or you will get detonation. I'm not a big expert on FI but I've been told this

So what kind of gains will I see from upping my timing? I planned on getting a predator tuner and I know I'd wanna play around with the timing a bit

You mean from upping the timing? I'm going to put in new gears and I'm going to get the tuner because it includes the speedo recalibration.

diablo tuner coimes with a tune to install... it gives about 20 HP and about 30 tourqe.. plus you can add air/fuel... more timing... whatever
