Default H pipe install

I also have this in the general, but I thought since it deals with an install then I could post here too so maybe someone will see... if you disagree Code or any mods go ahead and delete this one.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and get an O/R H pipe from Mac, just had some questions.

Should i pay a shop to install it? If so, whats the average cost of labor?

If not, can I do this on jack stands? I dont have any lifts.
And also I forgot the tools needed and sizes. Can someone help me out? I know I'll need an extension for the header bolts... forgot what size though... 3/8"?

Also, how do you guys like the sound of this pipe? I have a Mac catback and wanted to make it a little meaner and louder. Should I go for this pipe? I like the price. Comments, suggestions?

The bolts I believe are all 15mm, you'll need a breaker bar and some liquid wrench or some kind of lubricant to help loosen up the header bolts. One swivel, and I used two 6inch extensions, and a 7/8" wrench to get the o2 sensors out. It takes about an hour or two under the car with jack stands, and would take a shop no longer than an hour, which would be 60-80 bucks. And thats about it.

Thank you,

So I need a little help understanding these O2 sensors and the install process too.

First I unbolt the the catback from the midpipe and let the catback just kinda chill there then unbolt the headers from the stock midpipe, (and the o2 sensors are screwed in the pipe somewhere?? and I get those out?) then also where do I put the MIL eliminators... and how do I install those.... then I bolt the midpipe back up to the headers first, then catback second?

First you unplug all of the O2 sensors. There are 4 in total. You don't have to take them out until you get the pipe on the ground. Unbolt your exhaust and unbolt your manifold bolts. Then you have to work the pipe out. And once the stock piece is on the ground you can take out all four O2sensors and put them on the new mid pipe. Make sure they all go in the same place as you took them out. And install is the same way. As far as the MILs go, what kind did you get? The splice in's or the plug in's?

thanks, I'm not sure about the MIL's yet.... I dont want to spend 60 bucks on some little wires. Can anyone send me a link for some cheaper ones. I was looking on ebay for some, I saw some for like 7 bucks, then some for 60. So I dont know which to get, can someone send me a safe looking buy?

well with my o/r x i had to remove the starter to be able to get the pipes in place.. when your going to do your final tightining of the bolts put a jack under the center of the h to raise it up... you dont want to scrap on some speed bumps.
