Default Ways to tell gears apart!?

Hey guys, i have a question and being that im a newb im not sure if this is a stupid question but is there any way to tellgears apart!? When i bought my car it a a frpp 4.10 gear box in the trunk but the salesman said the car was completely stock, i thought maybe theprevious owner took them off notto void any kind of warranty or something,so im having a hard time guessing whether the stock gears are in or if the 4.10s are in my car! Any being that none of my friends drive gt's i cant drive one of theirs to see if i fell a difference! So is there any way i can tell by looking at them or something!? And would 4.30s work nice in my gt!?

If you are turning right on 2500 rpm's at 70 mph in 5th gear on the highway you have 4.10's. If you have a manual unscrew your shifter **** and pop out the plastic around the shifter boot and look under the boot. If you have a Dallas SpeedCal plugged in under there then you have gears.

[ol][*]Jack the Rearend up[*]Mark Driveshaft[*]Spin Rear Tire 1 time[*]Count how many times the Driveshaft Rotates[ol][*]3.27[*]3.73[*]4.10[/ol][/ol]And the 2500Rpm's at 70 Might not Work, Depending on the Tranny Even if it is the 3650. Quicktime posted an informational Thread about how there are MANY DIfferent Type of 3650 Trannys. Different 5th Gear Ratios..... etc... Neither of these ways are a DEFINATE way, BUT they will be close..
