is changing the ring and pinion in my 04 cobra a good thing or waste of time???

3.55 stock?? i think....would a 3.73 help??? the rear diff already has to be opened so i just figured since is was open should i swap em??? what do ya guys think????

i agree. the 373s will get u off the line a lot quicker and are a good upgrade.

I don't see how the 3.73's could hurt. Go to the SVT sub-forum, at the top of this forum, and ask them. They have Cobras and will be able to tell you from experience if it is a good idea or not.

you won't noticed much of a difference going from 3.55 to 3.73. i have 3.73's and wish i would've got 4.10's. (And no,you don't rev and 6500RPMS at 43MPH in 5th gear,i know someone's gonna say it)

Just keep the stock gears. Trust me. You'll just be another person swayed by these forums into a poor purchase.

I think getting the higher gears would be a waste if you already have 3 55s.


BUT if you did decide to get gears i would recomend going with at LEAST 4 :10s because you have the higher power band.
