Default Caster/camber plates

how far can i lower the car without having to buy caster/camber plates. If so which type of springs would be the best for the application.

You don't want to go any lower than 1 1/2 without the plates, you won't be able to get a good alignment and save the life of your tires without them.

If you lower the car any at all, your alignment will be whacked without them. Like Dan said, you CAN go up to 1.5 without them. Keep in mind if you do, your gonna eat tires a lot faster. I had my old 96 GT lowered 1.5 without the plates and I never could get the alignment right. Adverse tire wear was obvious. My buddy had his 97 cobra lowered 2 inches with the plates and he got his alignment perfect. Your better off just getting the plates, your drive will be much more enjoyable.

what he said....uneven tire wear sucks! It feels like it's out of alignment but it's not.

It depends on who does your alignment too.

Mine was all fuggered up when Midas did the alignment...wicked bumpsteer too.

then I took it to a guy who builds racecars and he got it perfect without C&C plates.

P.S. Mine is still only lowered 1.5"
