The ceramic coated headers claim to trap the heat inside of the headers and lower under hood temps. I have seen no rise whatsoever in under the hood temps, so to me, they seem to be doing that job. Another benefit of ceramic coated headers is that they stay looking new, for years and years to come, I would and did spend the extra cash on that.

gotta go with the ceramic coated dude. i got mac chrome headers for cheap off line and like 945LSTANGsaid dont take them off they are a bitch to get back on but they are the best for the money i would say. i did notice my car got alot hotter when i got the headers the under hood temp was very noticable but the car temp never went up when i was driving or idle. i could feel the heat coming threw the firewall more and on my arm out the window. so i would suggest wrapping them before install it helps the headers flow better too. good luck man.

the biggest reason people like companies like slp, bbk, kooks, orhookeris because fitment is good (some better than others),they have good-solid welds (which meansNO LEAKING), they have strong materials, and some have better bends which means better flow.

it sounds like you want LTs and dont wanna have to pay a lot, well heres my suggestion: look at MAC or BBK. Youll pay right at 400 or so for BBK or MAC ceramic coated headers and youll be happy.

I have the MAC and havent had the first problem. My g/f also has em on her v6 for about 6months and she hasnt had a problem either. the welds looked ok. fitment could have been better but its a 4.6 WHAT DO YOU EXPECT????
+1, keep it at the quailty level of a BBK/MAC and your fine. Anything cheaper though and you might run into weld/fitment issues.
