Good job, way to save a lot of money. Now that you have the room, you may want to look into getting a bigger filter. Just a thought.

Bigger filter is on my list. Might even be enough room for an SC.

most of the short rams are a buck50 or more. i bought that same intake you did but left it in the fender and kinda rigged a bigger filter to it

Why didn't you just buy a short ram intake? You kind of re-invented the wheel there.

BTW, there isalmost zero chance a fenderwheel CAI is going to pull water in. You should see where my vortech setup puts the filter... hell the MAF is acutally down inside the fender, and the MAF is sitting almost at the bottom of the car.

I heard there might be an issue with water so I elected to go with the under the hood version. I like the look and it eliminates two bends.

Boughtyour CAI offebay?? I have my BBKin the fender, been through hell and high water, no problems whatsoever. I have been through 1ft puddles doing 20MPH just knowing my filter was soaked. I pull the fender well back to take it off and dry it, but it was dry as a bone...
