Default garret turbos

Maybe you guys can help me,i had a vw vr6 and i installed a garret t3/t4 turbo set up on it it ,my question is, would i be able to use this turbo on my 02 gt,i have the complete set up from my vw,and would like to use as much of it as possible ,i come from an import backround and just recently made the move to domestics,so i don't know much about them.I know that i can use the wastegate ,blow off and the engine management system but i am not sure of the right turbo size.thanks

you could use it, but theyre wouldnt be much point... for us 57-67mm is the small side for a single setup and 44-67mm for twin setups. Id think youf be better off selling that kit

think about this before you jump in - turbos on a 4.6 are tricky, esp twin. The tuning is a nightmare (trying to do it on a stock motor) it will blow up, its just a matter of time. Secondly youve got a v8 now, the power and lag times are essentially the same from single to twin setups, except singles are alot more reliable and alot less expensive. I would recommend a 67mm front mount single. But you could do twin 43-52mm rear mount - less expensive install and will make about 550-600 rwhp

thanks,i will look into a front mount set up,it is a lot harder to find a turbo set up 4 a v8 ,maybe its just that i am still learning about them,i could take the easy road and put a blower on it, but it will be worth it to have one of the only turbo mustangs in my area.
