i gas it from like 1100 RPM ill only lose traction at around 5k RPM, then i switch anyways, i lose a little traction in 2nd gear, then i switch to 3rd and gain traction back....
thats odd, i would say the same thing happens to me now and i have stock gears. and i pulled a 2.1 60' at the only time i've been to the track so my tires arent the worst ever... i break loose pretty instantly in first even if i'm already crusing, and second breaks around 5k like you said... but keep in mind thats all with stock 3.27 gears.

oh and btw my birthday is next week and dad likes the idea of putting in some 4.10's so cross your fingers, i may have some installed next week, oh yeah and if anyone has a speed recall they are willing to sell, let me know i'll buy it

when i first stepped on it after install, it was intense, tires spun and everything, but i was driving it around today and it didnt , it just peeled a little at the end of 1st , spun out second, and went again in third . instead of braking lose completly in 1st and 2nd . weird

could it be the diablo programmer i used ? i dont see how a performance tune and advanced timing to 12 degrees would make anything worst though .

I know going from 3.23's to 3.73's in my last car left me wondering if the swap was even made, I could not tell a difference. I better feel something if I switch to 4.10's in this one!! [>:]

torque to the tires increases about 20% going from 3.27 to 4.10's, its very noticable but you'll get used to it fast. its probably the most noticable mod you can make other than a poweradder

I have no doubt it's probably the biggest "bang for the buck" as far as Seat of the Pants feel to dollar spent ratio is concerned.
I'm hoping to get some input from some Mustang guys here in town, I don't know who to trust with the install. [&:]

so joe... would you recommend 4.10s for a younger driver?

im twenty, but i still consider myself somewhat unexperianced with a manual. I only drive it in the summer, and its not my only car. but i dont want to kill myself either,,

just wondering what you would do in my situation, im gonna have a midpipe, and catback on it too, with some exspensive Z rated continentals that were on the car when i bought it.

thanks
