i just replaced the plug that was bad after driving today i will recheck tommarow and keep an eye on it... for some reason i think it has to do with a coil pack not strong enough. meaning its going bad. its only on one cylinder. so im kinda dumbfounded

well i took off coil packs and checked those my primary resistance is 0 ohms and secondary is 5.8 kohms. it calls for .55ohms and 5.5 kohms do my coil packs sound like they are bad?
Don't give the coil test too much credit. It's rare they fail, and even rarer that they partially fail (either they work or they don't type of thing). Run the new plug, pull it after some mileage, and see if it returns. Go from there.

The plug didn't look crazy black or anything, but it may just have been fouling a tad. Keep us updated....

Ok here we go but first things to keep in mind.
1. i am gettin oil passed throught the pcv do to no oil seperator witha s/c application (on order)
2. this plug only has 400 miles on it.
3. this is only happing on one cylinder.
edit---4. im not loosing any oil(has stayed at the same level sence i changed it over 1000miles ago close to 2000 miles)
the problem came back.

know to me that black shinny stuff looks like burnt oil so im thinking blown head gasket. but then i think about the oil seperator. but then only one cylinder. help me out guys. thanks jeremy

did some more research definatly not oil but i cant figure out why 1 cylinder is doing this. either not enough spark or to much fuel... the injectors are new so im guessing coil pack i dont know

Well first off, I think you should be gapping those at .030" on the TR-6's. You are unning a little lean there. Judging by the white compositon on the tip you are getting plenty of spark for it to turn white, so the only guess would be that your injector is dirty. This would be the best case scenerio. Make sure your headers are sealed up and not leaking.Have you done a leak down test on that cylinder? Mostly sooty remains mean bad gas or dirty injector, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I would really change that gap to .030" on all of them. Also .032" will show signs of difference if one is gapped like that vs. the rest! Leak test that cylinder, clean up the plugs and regap. I doubt your coil pack is to blame.

well i did a compresion test and this is my findings
on cylinders 2 and 6 there were carbon deposits

dry test
1 175 5 165
2 175 6 170
3 170 7 165
4 170 8 165

wet test

1 175 5 165
2 175 6 165
3 170 7 165
4 170 8 165

i dont think the injectors are dirty. they have only about 1500+ miles on them. i have the svt fuel pump with the same miles. all the plug except cylinder 6 have the same miles while 6 has about 300 miles. i will regap all plugs to 30 tommarow i need to buy two new plugs i dont wanna clean them i wanna a fresh look when i pull them so there is no is it better or not.
