Default chevy engine swap

I am wanting to get information on how to swap a chevy small block into my 96 mustang GT with a 5-speed in it. the 4.6 that is in it is burning oil through the valve seals and now that i did a leakdown test the rings are pretty well done as well. im a big fan of ford styling but the sohc motors are just a little more expensive than a small block will be. photos from past people doing it and sites where i can get info would be very much appreciated

If you really want a push-rod why don't you just swap the k-member with a 94-95 mustang and put a 302 in it? It would be a straight swap. You would need a new trans, eec, and wire harness but the rest should be the same.

A Chevy powerplant on a ford chassis???

as stated above, a 5.0 will be your best bet as parts for it are dirt cheap and they can be built to make power cheap.

I could really care less what you do I just wanted to let you know it would be easier to use a 5.0. If you want to use a chevy it's going to take a lot of custom work. Not something someone here is just going to be able to tell you how. Your going to need custom motor mounts, exhaust, and your going to have to do something with the trans. Not sure what though. I realize you already have a chevy engine laying around but for the money I would either go after another 4.6 or go with a 5.0.
