The Mach1's also came with a 4v... though not with all the forged internals etc.... this is why it is not possible... at least not feasible anyways... to convert a 2v into a 4v COBRA Motor! Even if the 4V heads bolt straight up to a 2v... and I doubt they do... you still would not have the Forged internals etc. that come with the Cobra motor...

You can bolt 4v heads right to a 2v block. You will need the front cover, wiring harness, intake, cams, retune your computer (or cobra computer but then you will need all the PATS crap that goes with it). The downfall of doing this conversion and staying NA is that you will drop your compression ratio with the stock 2v block. The upside of just buyin a cobra engine is the 96-01 engines were aluminum with forged cranks and the 03-04 engines are iron with 4 bolt mains and forged internals compared to our 2 bolt mains. If you don't know enough about these cars to build your own engine and swap it yourself then just buy an engine and have it dropped in.
