ok so i have an 02 mustang gt auto and my tranny will not switch into 3rd gear, it simply switches into 2nd gear and goes to about 5k rpm and will not switch lol this suxs, so i need a rebuilt and i was thinking goes anyone have the link to and the parts you would need to convert to a manual trans, i know i saw it on the forum but i cant find it. and if any would just know all the parts needed please post. thanks in advance

I used to have an auto in there, went to a 5 spd. It was not too bad, just took time and effort. if you dont have the tools, pay someone to do it for you. Check out/ talk to AMP performance. Off the top of my head: Tranny, shifter, ****, upper boot, leather boot, clutch assembly, clutch disc, TOB, Pilot bearing, Pivot, shift lever/fork, flywheel, dust boot fordriver side oftranny to cover lever and cable),tranny wiring harness, ECU (possible to tune auto ecu), driveshaft (possible to use yoke etc from manual car i think), pedal assembly, clutch quadrant, FORD (others like to break)cable, firewall adjuster (steeds with click to hold in place). Bolts for shifter boot, and possibly bolts for flywheel (my stock auto bolts would not go through and work with fidanza FW), and you might need bolts for the clutch assembly to block. Could get ahold of separator plate to go between tranny and block.

i think that is about it. Sounds worse than it is. The junkyard is your friend.
