i got a 99, i need a new intake manifold, should i get the 01-04 plastic one with aluminum crossover from ford racing or should i spend the extra $300 and get the typhoon intake? im afraid of getting another plastic one.... do the 01-04 crack like the 99 one does? its such a headache....

p-51!!! lol if you have the cash, but what are your plans with the car? juice on the list? go with somekind of metal manifold, bolt ons only, the plastic will do 01-04 w/ aluminum crossover

yes the aluminum still cracks. it will crack where the aluminum meets the plastic. doesnt happen nearly as often but it does happen (happened to mine). only cost me about 210 shipped for a brand new one so it wasnt bad.
if you want a metal one check out the one from trickflow its supposed to be sick. ive heard typhoons decrease ur HP for some reason. the trickflow is ~800$ (i havent seen reviews of it butmy buddy at the shop was all over it when he found out about it).
