i just replaced the cluster with one from a junk yard. when i start the car an alarm beeps 5 times stops and then repeats 2 more times and then just stops.???? how do i completly stop this? also it idles at 600-700RPM????? is this right?

I believe, you will need to get your keys recoded. From my understanding the Anti-Theft is part of the gauge cluster. Therefore your keys would not be coded for the replaced cluster

thanks golfmanspeck! also is there some kind of test i can do to find out if my tach is off???

you could get an aftermarket tach, hook it up and compare to the stock.
