Default abs module

just got the bad news from ford that my abs module is toast. they wanted to charge me 1000$ to fix it i said hell no. just got one off ebay for 90$ i was looking at the part and i just wanted to know if the install is as simple as it looks unplug and take off the old one and just plug in the new one?

is the abs module integral to the brakes meaning the lines go into it as a central module or is it just a computer.
