help with intake issue please..

Your best bet would be to pull the plug and dry everything off. Then snug down the plug and drive up to auto zone and torque it. They should let you use the wrench.

they wouldnt let me torque it there...i had the car up there this morning because i was throwing a code...lol i just forgot to plug a sensor in... any way to guesstimate how tight they need to be?

Hand tight plus 1/4 turn. But you really need to check the torque as soon as you can.

ok i did that...and it still runs like crap...it runs good for the first 30secs it fires up...then it gets shaky and misses and smells like fuel...

Start the car and unplug #5 cop and injector and see if it evens out the idle. Then plug in one of them at a time to find out what isnt working.

ok well i started it and then unhooked both....it didnt seem to make any difference at all...then i plugged in the COP and it didnt do anything so i unplugged it and then plugged in the injector, that also did nothing...plugged both back in and it still runs the same...

What codes is it throwing? It still sounds like a vac leak to me. When you installed the injectors, did you lube the o-rings really well. Its possible you could have cut or nicked one..that will leak fuel/air and make it run rough. Let the motor cool and start pulling spark plugs and look at them. You may have fouled one. And dont worry about gettin a torque wrench. Just hand tighten them, then use a wratchet and snug them. Its not rocket science..

LOL I guess you don't know much about the pre 04 2v heads.

I guess The only advise I can give you now is uninstall, inspect and reinstall the new intake.
