im not going with the supercharger cause i already have everything i need for the turbo. plus turbos are different. you dont see too many turbo mustangs around. i think if i keep it around 350 right now i should be fine.

8lbs from a turbo = BOOM. I've seen it first hand on a perfectly tuned mustang gt. He was only running 406wrhp.
hrmmm........i dont think so, then tell me why you can boost a KB at 8lbs and nothing, its the same air unless you have some magic fairy air around your car. there are a couple turbo sn95's here and one guy has been running 9psi for two years on a stock block.....but thats not the point 8lbs of boost = 8lbs of bost unles you an show me the airflow charts that say diffrent.

I just want to know why you preffer the turbo. I am not criticizing you Ilove turbo's but if you arent trying to get scary numbers than why pay more and lose out on low end torque ?(compared to a kenne bell)

u dont need boost to have a fast car anyway build that motor do internals, cam E303, intake maifold, rotating assembly, nice set of gears u dont need a turbo or a blower to have a fast car... i have a 96 2 valve they arent powerhouses but if u research u can build a real nice set up and keep the motor in your car instead having to take it out cause u blew it up

You do know you have a 4.6L modular motor right?

i just prefer turbos. it's makes more power in the long run using waste gas and not the engine to suply the power. other than that, its different. every supercharges their cars, and nothing against it. i just want to have that turboed stang that runs around my area.

I'm right with you on turbos are better. When I get home I'll be dropping in a 5.7L 351 modmotor with P&P 4v heads and twin 67mm turbos. Already talked to MMR about the motor. I just have to give them a 2 month notice and the motor will be sitting in my garage. It will cost me almost $20,000 for the complete build but like you said its better to be different.

Well ill just wait give you the "I told you so" in few months if you run 8lbs
ok, how is 8lbs on a turbo diffrent from 8lbs on a S/C? either way its 8 pounds right, they both force air into the engine so whats the diffrence ......
and when i am running 8lbs. everyday i will give you the "i told you so"
8 PSI on a turbo is COMPLETELY different than 8 PSI on a supercharger. The reason for it is the entire reason to go turbo, that is to say that a turbocharger is more efficent than a supercharger, "stealing" back less power because it is not belt driven, but driven by the exhaust.

You do not tune to PSI, you tune to horsepower and TQ. You have never done a turbo setup on a 2v 4.6L before, therfore you cannot say "I am going to run xxx boost safely".

12 PSI on a otherwise stock GT with a centri would probably run fine... 12 PSI on a car setup like mine (boltons/cam) would explode. Its not the amount of boost you run, its the amount of power.

Typical stock motor turbo setups on a 2v run around 5-6 PSI of boost.

Regardless of what you have "heard" or even made up in your head, 5 PSI on a blower will NOT make the same power as 5 PSI on a turbo. Hell, X PSI on a certian car with a certian setup will not make exactly the same power as on another identical car... let alone 2 different cars with completely different setups.

before making comments about peoplelike "you have some magic fairy air around your car" do some reading and ask some questions... if you don't all you do is end up looking like an arrogant know nothing jackass.
