w/ stock gears in 4th you will be turning around 2150rpm's , so 3.55's would be around 2350rpm's at 70mph . you will lose alittle top end & yes it will rev quicker . you will need to tune your PCM or you trans will not shift correctly .

your car will not top out on speed at the strip, it'll take some serious work before you reach that point on your car. 3.73's will be fine. Your gonna need to reprogram the ecu in order for it to register mileage correctly, you will not have problems with shifting as the other person stated.

you shouln't be doing any WOT 3-4 , 4-3 or 4-2 shifts , you will kill your OD band & it wont shift into 4th anymore .

get yourself a handheld tuner, oh and the od band in our cars just suck so whether or not you have gears wont really change much. Get the trans cooler and do the jmod it'll be less wear and tear on your tranny and you'll be fine. If you can afford it, get yourself a jmod (modified stock valve body) and have whoever is doing your tranny flush to install that as well.

getting lower gears, or steeper gears will allow you to accelerate much quicker than normal, and its negative effects are much less than you think they are.
