I have a 2000 3.8 with 31,000 on it and recently it as started to shake somewhat when it starts. It will crank then shake or the enging sound will lesson then start up. It doesnt do it all the time, it mainly does it when it sits for about 15-30 mins or after a longer trip. ANY advise would be appreciated THANKS</P>

 

Either fuel filter needs to be replaced and/or your fuel injectors are dirty. I suggest putting some fuel injector cleaner in your tank. If that doesn't work then change the fuel filter.<IMG alt=Wink border=0 onclick="AddSmileyIcon'smileys/smiley2.gif'" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

 

I would think it would be the fuel filter or something else.You said it doesn't do it all the time. So I wouldn't think it would be the injectors. I figure injectors would make it do it all the time. But what do I know??? <IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"></P>

 

It probably is the fuel filter, worst case scenario its the fuel pump acting up. I suggested you run some injector cleaner through because its a cheap and easy thing to try first. If it takes care of it great, if not then go to the next possibility.</P>
