you aren't getting that much added performance from shorties, but since he already bought a midpipe to match up to the manifolds you can't get him longtubes without buying a new mid pipe too... you are best bet is to just pay to get the leak fixed cuz like i said the performance on shorties won't be worth the money you are going to spend and the time it takes to install them

So your saying if I get the longtubes it will match up to his bbk midpipe? Or will he have to get a new one?

If you get him the longtubes then you (or he) will have to get another midpipe... Simply because, the longtubes are longer than the stock manifolds (hence the name). Since the headers are longer, the midpipe has to be shorter. They run in the area of 150-200$ for a new one. Check em out. Personally If my brother bought me lt's, I would not have a problem at all for forking out 200 for a new midpipe. He can sell his old one.
