its a lot of money, but everyone needs to ask what the shop is doing for that price.

got quoted 1400 at a shop here in CT

but that included

frpp gears200(ish)
install kit 100
intallation 400
SCT tuner (correct speedo) 400
dyno tune300
plus the cost of fluids, and the 1000mile service costs included

The only part that my shop was sneaky about, but i knew they were, was the dyno tune...saying it was required after a gear swap to get the spedometer reading correct...i knew you could change that with a handheld, so I knew it was rapage on their part.

i paid $50 for my 3.73's to be installed. Yea,me and my buddy did 'em. took 5 hours and the $50 was the price of fluid.

If you can't find a legit shop quoting you a reasonable price and you can't or don't want to DIY, take it to a dealership. I gaurantee they won't charge you 1450!!!! Even including parts that would be 15 hours of labor. I don't think it's even legal to charge that much if they're certified techs.

If you take it to the stealership, do they calibrate the speedo or do you need to get a tuner?
