what is the difference between the 96-98 cobra, 99/01 cobra, and 03/04cobra cylinder heads.

The designs and flow rates.

96-98 and 99-01 are both tumble port heads

03-04 are not tumble port

I dont think 96-98 is tumble port. 96-98 is the B series head. The b series heads have 2 intakes and all later models have 1.The 99-01 is the oval port designand the 03-04 is a revision of that.

are you talking about the valves? If what you say is true, the b series would have 2 intake valves and 2 exhaust valves while the 99+ would have 1 intake and 3 exhaust valves? That really does make much sense.
