YOU CAN TO INSTALL LONGTUBES IN ABOUT 2 HOURS!!! I HAVE PERSONALLY DONE IT!!! MANY PPL HAVE, IF YOU OWN A SHOP, OR HAVE A SHOP INSTALL THEM IT WILL TAKE THEM ABOUT2 HOURS TO DO IT, BUT YOU MISSING THE POINT BECAUSE YOUR SO SET ON PROVING ME WRONG. HE OR ANYONE SHOULD GET LONGTUBES NOT FOR EASE OF TRANS REMOVAL. GET THEM FOR THE PERFORMANCE THEY ARE INTENDED FOR. IF YOU WANT A LINK TO WHERE OTHER ARE INSTALLED LONGTUBES ON THIS SITE. HEREIT IS.Thurman IS QUOTED AS SAYING "One of my techs at work installed them. Took him about 2 hrs." which is exactly how long it takes me to install a set. I guess Thurman is a troll too!

Jay C if your not going to help then why comment to something you knowlittle about.

BTW in that same postfrom 06tyrfryr"I have the macs and installed them myself along with the prochamber and ittook me 3 1/2 hours. I had the advantage of doing them on a lift. dont think I would want to do it otherwise"

06 did it himself in 3 and a half hours, imagine if he was a tech and was in a shop with more then one person working one it. He could have had it done in 2 hours. Jayc dont waste my time.
More BULLSH!T as expected. You have never installed longtubes on a modular 2 valve car in 2 hours.....I don't think it's possible from my experiance.

As far as performance, what headers were used on the fastest ever N/A 2-valve? FYI, they were Hooker Supercomps

How was he proven wrong? That thread posted was for a different Mustang, not the New Edge GT. And he's talking about installing them on a New Edge GT.

tallyguy76,
You asked for what are the best longtube headers for a 2v gt. The best IMO including price, performance, looks, and my personal experience hands on with a brand would be MAC or BBK. If you want a set of headers that are the BESTandyou have no budgetthen have a custom set made. I assumed you meant best as inthe real world. Meaning you dont havethe "fastest ever N/A 2-valve" Whatever you buy you will be happy with, all long as you dont buy the cheapo's. I.E. a black painted header thats is going to rust from the inside out.

I havent heard Stainless Works brought up, They make an amazing product. From Headers to Tips 100% stainless, thick wall tubing. A lot of the cars they build in magizines use Stainless Works headers. Of course yet again a custom header company like Hooker. So you going to have about a grand in the just the header.

When I write something on here, Ikeep in mind I am talking to a car guy, and not my grandma.

I was making a point.I am not talking on jack stand and hand tools. The K-member can be removed and headers installed inabout2hours. If your biggest worry is OH MY GOD HOW CAN I GET MY TRANS OUT NOW, then put shortys on. But if you want long tubes for performance like most of us do then MAC are an excellent product. If your doing this is your driveway, your nuts, but if youare its going to take you all day. Its not worth it take it to a shop and have it dont right. They will take there time and get it done right.
I just took a minute to read you previous 29 posts. After doing so I can honestly say you are definately full of ****. I doubt you even have longtube headers or have ever dropped a K. I know for damn sure you never installed longtubes in 2 hours.... so go back to where you came from....this place doesn't need any trolls I stand by my previous post[8D]
Well Jay to be fair is he saying with a lift and air tools, I would say 2-3 Hrs is plenty of time (the egr tube was my biggest problem). Droping the K member and such isnt such a big deal, Ive done it w/o droping the K and that took like 8 hrs, but dropping it is MUCH faster and easier. I will also say that I am satified with my mac LTs, the only thing is that you need to have them coated once you get them, they flow great, but the coating is not so good... but thats true for most headers that arent ceramic

Thats why I preach MAC headers. I threw BBK in for the first time above because I wanted to please the guys who are not a fan a MAC. A few guys will come in and have these installed they usually buy them and bring them in before they hear my MAC speach. But I am not going to down BBK headers there products are GOOD quality.
