I'll be odd man out here, a custom tune is always worth it even on a dead stock car...

imo i'd say get a tune after you get headers. i know my car isn't getting optimal power with the AM.com canned 93 octane tune. i have cai,tb,plenum, headers, xpipe, catback. first thing on my list is a mph tune when i finally get the money next week

I would wait for sure. get rid of ALL of the factory exhaust.
Long tubes is a must if you want to get the most out of the car

Personally I waited until I got a set of cams to tune the car. I knew I had more plans in the future so I decided to not spend the money to I was at that level. Will you benifit from a tune now, yes, but I would get a plan for the car first. You may end up wanting to do a shortened intake, a set of cams and ported heads. Then you'll have to pay the money to get the whole thing tuned again. If you don't have any more major plans and you want to dish the money out, go for it and do it now.

All good advice. I appreciate it guys. What kind of numbers do you think I'd be making with the set up you mentioned, moosenamedhank? Cause I had that on my mind too .. I'd love putting a blower on it, but it's just so much money ...

To tell you the truth I guess I'm not sure... I just know that is a popular set up. You should check out www.svtperformance.com they have a little more active cobra based forum.
