Clutch Squeals!
I just replaced my clutch in my 97 gt and about a day after i replaced it it started squealling...but only well the pedal was out...you press the clutch in and it stopped...so my friend told me to get a firewall adjuster...so i did...well u tighted up the firewall addjuster and that stopped the squeallin...i clutch pedal used to have a lil playin in it before it got stiff but after i adjusted it it stop...so then i went out on the street and launched on it...well there came the squeallin back and the pedal had play in it again...so i adjusted it again and the same thing happened...??? whats goin on???

RE: Clutch Squeals!
well the squealing is the throwout bearing obviously but as far as the clutch cable getting slack, you will probably just have to play with the adjustments. You can try to lube the throwout bearing through where the clutch fork goes into the transmission but it will most likely be a temporary fix.

RE: Clutch Squeals!
This problem is common. I've seen brand new ones squeal a lot. All you can do is replace it and make sure the next one has grease in it. If you try spraying lubricant through the clutch lever slot the lubricant may get on the clutch and cause it to slip.
