yeah all the 96-98 cobras that i have seen have been like 11,000 but im sure you can talk someone down to 9 g's. i would get the 96-98 cobra over a LT1 trans am. theres no way you'll find an ls1 for 9 g's or under.

Get a fox body for $5,000 and thow a stroker + S/C on it... $9,000 and you're at 400+rwhp.

you would be lucky to find a "nice" trans am for $9,000 with low miles, and isnt beat to the ground. Most newer 99+ ones around here are easily 20 grand. As for the older styles there around 9,10, and 11 but still have miles on them. You could prob get a newer mustang GT, and not worry about mods right away....
