Help! 4.6 L 2v dies coming to
Bo Beukmanis a good dealer..I like them there!!! I wonder why they didn't help you out any...basically the idle air control valve is what controls the idle speed when the throttle plate is closed...Is is a little actuator that allows a certain amount of air to bypass the plate to keep the idle at the correct spot...if that is bad, once the throttle plate is closed, the engine will starve for air...A new one from Bo Beukman is about $90. and it takes 5 mins. to install... it is that part on the front of your upper intake that the smallhose from your air intake tube goes to and is held on by two bolts..need more info, just ask

taking off the maf screen WILL cause drivability problems! You may get a couple horses in the process, but that screen is their to smooth airflow so the mass air meter can accurately tell the ecu how much air is coming in

you might want to clean the maf as the oil from the K/N Filter can cause this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that sounds very possible v fast. i think i will check that out.mine was new when i put it in and never oiled it. but when new they are very oily. and after doing that fast 130ish that would definatly suck some oil off of it. how do you clean the maf without hurting it. brake cleaner orcarburator cleaner? and let air dry.
