Ok, MGW first off is the brand to go with. My buddy has an 00GT with the steeda. Very nice shifter, however there is that noice a little. So to be different i went with MGW (Blue is shorter and geared more towards racing) and it is a much better shift. Don't use the screw stops though if you have a newer mustang.

Go with the PRO 5.0 if anything. Its original and still the best.

i need a shifter??? i think its already short throw im not sure have nothing to compare it too. but im sure it could be shorter.

I put in a Steeda Tri-X in my 03 Mach1, and had the beefed up clutch also put in by the dealer. It made a lot of difference, but it wasn't until this last summer when Ford recalled the Tremec upgrades that I now have a great car. Yes, if you haven't received a call or a mail message from Ford to have them upgrade your Tremec, then you should call them and inquire. And, the Pro 5.0 is not the best. Ask any Ford transmission mechanic.
