Default RPM's between shifts ?

I've got a 99 GT and was wandering if this is normal or not. Between shifts (manual trans) the rpm's don't seem to drop down a whole lot. I 've never driven another Mustang so don't know if this is normal or not. It almost feels like the idle is too high but normal idle at stop is good.

my 02 does the same thing. I was worried about it at first, but figured out it was normal for stangs. There was a previous link on here last week that said that ford does this on purpose for not as bad of a driveline jerk when you shift.
