RE: Aftermarket spring ?'s
Not getting salty... I'm not telling him what to buy, I am just stating what I have found to be true from what I have had experience with and read over the years. He can buy what he wants. I am just throwing out facts and research so that he can make the decision that fits him best.

any drop on stock shocks/struts will feel like crap. Any drop, while keeping the springs in the stock location will also increase stiffness. If you wanna be cheap there is no best of both worlds.
Here is a nice budget setup tho, strange adjustable shocks/struts (set to the softest settings) and a set of H&R springs. A more expensive setup is going to be a set of coilovers, I went with the maximum motorsports set. Benefits of a coilover setup is that your able to go lower without as much of a loss in comfortability. My car rides less stiff than cars that are .5-1" higher than mine, and mine is about 1" from the ground.
just a reference
Anyways, buy what you want, install what you want, just don't get upset with the outcome of what you chose, because its your responsibility to research the mod before you buy it.
